Quality Pet Care
For over 37 years, I have been serving the pets and families of the Siouxland area. I opened my own salon, Critter Clipper Pet Grooming, in Sioux City, in 1998. We love caring and connecting with animals and creating everlasting relationships with our clients. We provide care for your fur baby as if they were our own, and ensure that they receive the highest quality care while in our care.

Available to our grooming clients only. Restrictions do apply. All pets must be current on rabies, distemper and kennel cough vaccinations. Flea/tick meds must be current and all pets must be housebroken/kennel trained. Pets are exercised/played with (on a 30 foot long line) several times a day, in our securely fenced, grassy yard.

De-Shed Package
A special shampoo, conditioner and brushing technique that greatly reduces the amount of shedding. Prices range from $15-45 depending on size and coat type. This is an add-on service.
Prices may vary depending on size, temperament, thickness/condition of coat and what actually gets done. B/B/N/E means bath, brush, nails clipped and ears cleaned. A/O means all over the body/legs, Sani-Trim is trim around feet, eye area and private areas. The state REQUIRES that your pet is CURRENT on Rabies AND Distemper vaccinations and we must keep proof of that on file. We HIGHLY recommend a Kennel Cough vaccination as well. You must bring this info with you from your vet. If you have a new pet, we suggest that you ask your vet, as to when they feel your pet will have enough vaccination protection to be in a grooming salon environment. Vaccinations MUST be administered at LEAST 48 hours PRIOR to your pet's grooming appointment or service may be refused.
Because of all the different flea products out there we only use an all natural flea shampoo. This is only a shampoo so it rinses off and does not offer a residual effect. It only kills the fleas that your pet may have on them when brought in. You may need to do other treatments for your pet, house and yard.
If you have an inch or more hair on your head, imagine going through everyday life without combing or washing it for weeks on end. This includes going out in the wind, the rain and movement from sleeping. Your head would be a mess, right? Would you want someone trying to brush it out which could be very painful or just take it short and start over. Pets don't understand why they are being pulled on and often retaliate in the form of biting. We want your pet's experience to be a positive one here and do not believe in painful de-matting sessions. We can teach you how to brush and comb your pet between grooming appointments to help keep your pet's coat tangle free.
Your pet will (usually) be with us anywhere from 2-5 hours depending on the time of your appointment, your pet's cooperation and what is getting done.
